We have developed a menu that not only provides a well-tolerated protein source, but also ingredients that are well accepted and tolerated by nutritionally sensitive dogs and food-allergic dogs. Low in purines – therefore also suitable as kidney support food or for a kidney diet in cases of kidney diseases such as kidney failure and kidney insufficiency, supportive in pancreatitis and important for leishmaniasis. Less animal protein in the dog bowl has many advantages: Much greater than the risk of protein deficiency is nowadays the over-supply with animal protein. A prolonged excess of protein burdens your dog's metabolism and especially the kidneys.

A dog needs a balanced supply of proteins, carbohydrates, fats and fibre as well as various minerals and vitamins. We stay true to our philosophy; we want our products to be as natural as possible, so we do not add oils or vitamins and minerals (so-called synthetic premixes) beforehand.

What’s inside – the benefits of the ingredients:

• Chicken: Chicken meat contains protein with high biological value, important minerals and vitamins, has an exceptionally favourable fat composition and is easily digestible.
• Broth: is the water in which all ingredients are cooked. It is needed for every cooking process (for every canned menu) but is not declared by many manufacturers.
• Natural rice: it is not polished, so protein and fat content are higher than in white rice and the nutrient- and fibre-rich silver skin remains intact. Natural rice contains polyunsaturated fatty acids that are essential for cell maintenance and a functioning cardiovascular system.
• Sweet potatoes: They contain vitamin A and beta-carotene, which is good for eyesight and skin. The beta-carotene content is almost as high as in carrots. They also contain vitamin E, which protects skin cells from ageing. They have twice the amount of fibre compared to conventional potatoes and are also rich in vitamin C, antioxidant carotenoids, potassium, calcium and vitamin K.
• Apples: Regular consumption of these nutrient-rich fruits can strengthen the immune system. They contain many vitamins and trace elements. The pectin they contain also supports digestion.
• Flaxseed cake: contains omega-3, the "good" fatty acids. These can have a positive effect on the cardiovascular system and strengthen the immune system at the same time. Flaxseed cake also contains lignans (secondary plant compounds), which help protect cells and strengthen cell walls. Regular feeding can improve condition and provide a shiny coat.
• Coconut oil: it contains about 45-60% lauric acid, which increases HDL levels (the "good cholesterol"). Coconut oil also contains many minerals and vitamins. It is easily digestible and has a positive effect on fat metabolism.
• Rose hips: are particularly rich in vitamin C. Ascorbic acid, i.e. vitamin C, is very important for building bone substance. It also regulates the body's own calcium and phosphorus balance.
• Oregano: is considered a natural antibiotic in naturopathy. It has antibacterial, antiviral and fungicidal effects, meaning it helps fight bacteria, viruses and fungi. In addition, oregano is also considered anti-inflammatory.

Our chicken menu "Hennies Topf" is filled into environmentally friendly artificial casing. Compared to conventional cans, this produces significantly less packaging waste. While metal or composite cans must be laboriously recycled and often end up in residual waste, artificial casing generates only a minimum of waste. This protects the environment and saves valuable resources.

The sausage in artificial casing also has advantages in shipping: it is robust, space-saving and requires no elaborate protective packaging like glass or cans. This allows uncomplicated, safe shipping with much less packaging material. This means less waste, less weight and a sustainable and responsible diet for your dog.
