Just like with our Insect Luck Menu, you are choosing a healthy and sustainable diet for your dog that also protects the resources of our planet!

Our Insect Power menu is a hypoallergenic supplementary food that is also ideal for sensitive dogs. Many dogs today suffer from so-called food intolerances. They react to common types of meat such as chicken, turkey, or beef, as well as grains, soy, and dairy products. However, the binders, fillers, and flavor enhancers that are often used (especially in dry food) can also cause problems. The symptoms of food intolerance are varied—for example, stomach problems or Gastrointestinal complaints, vomiting, nausea, gastritis, reddened skin, dermatitis, itching, anal itching, hair loss, digestive problems/diarrhoea, weight loss, ear problems and/or anal glands.

An exclusion diet limited to a previously unknown protein source can be implemented excellently with our Insect Power. But please always remember that nothing else – not even a single treat – should be added to the diet that contains another source of animal protein. We have also deliberately avoided using potatoes and parsnips, as some dogs have been found to be very sensitive to these ingredients.

Why world-conscious?
There are approximately 9.4 million dogs living in Germany, and because our pets also leave a carbon paw print, we can make a significant contribution to protecting the environment by consuming less meat. At napani, we believe that less meat on our plates and in our pets' bowls is a responsibility that affects us all. Three of our employees are vegan, so it has always been difficult for us to come to terms with the fact that other animals have to die for our beloved pets. A dog can be fed very well without meat (taking into account its nutritional requirements) – but not all dogs like it. Feeding your dog insect-based protein can bridge the gap between a meat-based and plant-based diet.

What's in it – the benefits of the ingredients:

• Insects (black soldier fly larvae): high-quality , little-known protein. Good for your dog and good for the environment.
• Cooking liquid: the water in which all ingredients were cooked. This is required for every cooking process (for every can) but is not declared by many manufacturers.
• Organic amaranth:   it has a high fiber content, which has a positive effect on satiety and intestinal health. The puffed grains are also an excellent source of plant-based protein, containing 15 g of protein per 100 g, with high biological value. Magnesium, calcium, potassium, iron, vitamins B1 and E are also found in this ancient Inca grain.
• Organic pumpkin: provides many vitamins, including beta-carotene (a precursor of vitamin A), which is necessary for vision, vitamin C and vitamin E, as well as the minerals potassium, magnesium, calcium, and iron. Also contains filling fiber.
• Organic blueberries: contain many minerals such as iron, calcium, and potassium. Their high fiber content aids digestion.
• Organic parsley: According to naturopathy, parsley can lower blood sugar levels and relieve cramps. Parsley is also considered a high-quality antioxidant, which means it fights free radicals and oxidative stress—one of the main causes of many chronic diseases.
• Organic broccoli seeds (sprouted): Sprouted broccoli seeds not only provide important vitamins , and minerals, but their ingredients also have an antioxidant effect.
• Algae lime: contains mainly calcium carbonate, as well as magnesium carbonate and trace elements (boron, iodine, silicic acid) and can therefore prevent mineral and trace element deficiencies.
