- Low in purines—therefore also suitable as a kidney diet for kidney diseases, such as kidney failure, renal insufficiency, and urinary stones. Supports treatment for pancreatitis, and is also suitable for dogs with arthritis. Dogs suffering from leishmaniasis and being treated with the medication allopurinol must be fed exclusively a low-purine diet.
The purine levels in our meals are calculated in a certified laboratory—this costs money, but it ensures safety. Some manufacturers calculate these values using a food table—it’s free, but inaccurate.
Less animal protein in a dog’s bowl has many advantages. Today, an oversupply of animal protein is a far greater concern than the risk of protein deficiency. A domestic dog’s body is not adapted to a permanent excess of animal protein. A prolonged surplus of protein places a strain—especially in older dogs—on the dog’s metabolism and, in particular, on the kidneys, liver, and intestinal environment. This often manifests itself through symptoms such as itching, reddened skin patches, and skin inflammation; frequent paw licking; ear problems; flatulence; smacking of the lips; vomiting; persistent gastrointestinal issues; and hair loss. But fatigue, nervousness, and constant “hyperactivity” can also indicate that your pet is unable to process an excess of protein. Note: These symptoms can, of course, have other causes—if in doubt, you should always consult your veterinary naturopath or veterinarian.
A dog needs a balanced supply of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and fiber, plus various minerals and vitamins.
We remain true to our philosophy; we want our products to be as natural as possible, which is why we do not add any oils, vitamins, or minerals (so-called premixes > of synthetic origin) to the recipe.

Our 800g products are packaged in eco-friendly synthetic casings. Compared to conventional cans, this results in significantly less packaging waste. While cans made of metal or composite materials require complex recycling processes and often end up in the trash, synthetic casings produce only a minimal amount of waste. The "sausage" also has an advantage when it comes to shipping: it’s sturdy, space-saving, and doesn’t require elaborate protective packaging like glass or cans.
