Why does napani now offer dry food?
The story of Medo:
We regularly take in dogs from animal shelters, mostly from Romania and Spain. The dogs are naturally fed dry food at the shelters, as this would otherwise be financially impossible. we are able to switch 90% of our foster dogs to our napani wet food quickly and without any problems. But there are the remaining 10%, and they are a challenge.for some, health reasons may play a role, while for others it is the "imprint" of the flavor enhancers found in many manufacturers' dry food.regardless of the cause, they even refuse home-cooked food. When Medo came from Spain, he was already quite thin. Unfortunately, all efforts (even pure meat – canned, fresh, fried) failed. He also had health problems, which didn't make things any easier. He had to gain weight no matter what! Since Medo clearly preferred dry food, but we were dissatisfied with all the common products on the market, we had to actively look for a solution. And we found the solution in the UK! There is a manufacturer there that produces dry food under strict conditions and with the best regional ingredients.
We looked into the manufacturer in detail. The following things were important to us – and they were all fulfilled, of course:
- high-quality ingredients whose origin can be traced
- clear composition
- Use of fresh meat (at least 30% fresh meat in our varieties)
- no animal meal
- freshtrusion * low temperatures during processing (up to max. 82°C)
- good acceptance, even without flavor enhancers and preservatives
- high tolerability (no allergenic ingredients where possible)
- 100% declaration
We do not recommend feeding dry food as the sole source of nutrition throughout a dog's life. However, there are many dog owners who have always fed dry food and will continue to do so in the future. There are also dogs like Medo who cannot be switched to wet food. Or there are situations where it needs to be quick and easy: vacation trips, hikes, your dog needs to be looked after by people who find everything else too complicated, as a supplement for large dogs, etc.
Regardless of your reasons, we want to offer a product where ALL ingredients are clearly listed and whose quality we value.

All dogs are different and guidelines should be adjusted to take into account the breed, age, temperament, and activity level of the individual dog. Make sure fresh, clean water is always available.
