Less animal protein in the dog's bowl has many advantages. Nowadays, an oversupply of animal protein is much greater than the risk of a lack of protein. The organism of the domestic dog is not adapted to an excess of protein, as would be the case, for example, if it were fed exclusively beef muscle meat. A prolonged excess of protein puts a strain on the dog's metabolism and in particular the kidneys. This can often be recognized by symptoms such as itching, reddened skin (paws) and loss of fur (although these symptoms can also have other causes).

A dog needs a balanced supply of proteins, carbohydrates, fats and fiber, plus various minerals and vitamins.

What's inside - the benefits of the ingredients:

• Organic beef: contains the highest levels of iron and zinc, and lots of vitamin B12_.
• Organic potatoes: according to various studies, potatoes are one of the most important sources of cell-protecting antioxidants. Potatoes also contain fiber (essential for healthy bowel function), protein, vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals.
• Cooking stock: is the water in which all the ingredients have been cooked. This is required for every cooking process (for every canned meal) - but is not declared by many manufacturers.
• Organic pears: Pears are rich in folic acid, which promotes growth and blood formation. They contain a whole range of B vitamins - these are important for the nerves. The tannic acids in pears help with inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract.
