100% mutton – nothing else! At napani, we also pay attention to good quality in our own nutrition, so it is only natural for us that our animals also get the best for the sake of their health. According to our motto: "your dog is what it eats". With us, there is only one meat source per can – and it is gently steamed. This way, as many vitamins and minerals as possible remain in the meat. To obtain a species-appropriate, nutritionally balanced food, mix in our base food, vital supplements, and vital oils. Mixing is possible!

For your information:

During the cooking process of the meat, which in our case consists of 60% muscle meat, 40% mutton offal (heart, lung, liver), meat juice can be released. Depending on the type of meat used (e.g., younger or older animal) and its condition, the tin's contents may look different. The muscle meat contains connective tissue, which has a collagen content. Tendons and cartilage also consist of collagen. This collagen slowly transforms into gelatin during cooking – that soft, slippery mass also known from cake glaze. This gelatin ensures the meat does not dry out and instead becomes juicier with increasing cooking time.

As we naturally bind our pure meat varieties with algae, the consistency is subject to uncontrollable fluctuations. So if sometimes there’s more gelatin in the product, it says nothing about the quality. On the contrary, the dogs love this jelly-like part.

Because our pure meat products are stored in artificial casing, which of course contains no aluminum, the meat can discolor slightly at the edges. This means that if you slice the sausage, the edge may be darker than the core. But this does not affect the quality. Your dog will enjoy it!

Our mutton is filled in eco-friendly artificial casing. Compared to conventional tins, this generates significantly less packaging waste. While tins made from metal or composite materials must be recycled with great effort and often end up as residual waste, artificial casing produces only a minimal amount of waste. This protects the environment and conserves valuable resources.

Even for shipping, sausage in artificial casing has an advantage: it's robust, space-saving, and doesn’t require extensive protective packaging like glass or tins. So the sausage can be shipped easily, safely, and with significantly less packaging material. That means less waste, less weight, and a lower CO₂ footprint – for a sustainable and responsible diet for your dog!
