Just red deer – nothing else. At napani, we also pay attention to high quality when it comes to our own nutrition. That’s why it’s self-evident and important for us that our four-legged friends also get only the best in their bowl for the sake of their health. True to the motto: "your dog is what he eats." With us, there is always only one meat source in the sausage – and it is gently steamed. This way, as many vitamins and minerals as possible are preserved. For a species-appropriate, balanced diet, simply mix in our base food, vital supplements, and vital oils. Mixing is possible!

What’s in the sausage:

• red deer muscle meat: rich in omega-3, potassium, copper, phosphorus, zinc, and more iron than beef. Game meat is the opposite of factory farming – and contains no antibiotics or hormones.

For your information:

When steaming the meat, which in our case consists of 100% muscle meat, meat juices may be released. Depending on the type of meat used (e.g., young or older animal) and its texture, the contents may look different. Muscle meat consists, among other things, of connective tissue, which contains collagen. Tendons and cartilage are also made of collagen. This collagen slowly turns into gelatin during cooking – that soft, jelly-like mass you may know from cake glaze. This gelatin ensures that the meat does not dry out but becomes juicier the longer it is cooked.

Since we naturally use algae to bind the sausage, the consistency is subject to uncontrollable variations. So if there is sometimes more gelatin in the sausage, this has nothing to do with the quality. On the contrary, dogs even love this jelly-like part.

Sustainably & conveniently packaged – less waste, less effort!

Our venison sausage is filled in an environmentally friendly artificial casing. Compared to conventional cans, this results in significantly less packaging waste. While cans made of metal or composite materials require elaborate recycling and often end up in residual waste, the artificial casing produces only a minimum of waste. This conserves the environment and saves valuable resources.

The sausage in the artificial casing also has an advantage when shipping: it is robust, space-saving, and does not require elaborate protective packaging like glass or cans. This means the sausage can be shipped easily, safely, and with much less packaging material. That means less waste, less weight, and a lower CO₂ footprint – for a sustainable and responsible diet for your dog!

Note: With game meat, it is advisable to mash the meat with a fork before feeding, as in rare cases a projectile may remain in the raw material! The raw material is scanned with metal detectors before processing, but there are sometimes projectiles that cannot be detected.
