Goose meat is a high-quality protein that provides all the essential amino acids dogs need for muscle development, immune system and cell function. It contains healthy fats – especially unsaturated fatty acids, which strengthen the skin and coat – and has a high iron content. Iron promotes blood formation and helps supply cells with oxygen. B vitamins, such as B3 (niacin) and B6, are also abundant. These are important for energy metabolism and the nervous system. Goose meat is easily digestible, especially for dogs with allergies, but it is rich in fat. It is therefore only suitable in small quantities for dogs that need to watch their weight.

When steam cooking meat juice may escape. Depending on the type of meat used (e.g., young or older animal) and its texture, the contents of the can may vary. The muscle meat consists, among other things, of connective tissue, which contains collagen. Tendons and cartilage also consist of collagen. During cooking, this collagen slowly transforms into gelatin—the soft, slimy mass that is also used in cake glazes. This gelatin, in turn, is responsible for ensuring that the meat does not dry out, but becomes juicier and juicier as the cooking time progresses.

Since we naturally use algae as a binding agent in our pure meat varieties, the consistency is subject to uncontrollable fluctuations. So if there is more gelatin in the product, this has nothing to do with the quality. On the contrary, dogs actually love this slimy part.

When stored in artificial casings, which naturally do not contain aluminum, the meat may discolor slightly at the edges. This means that when you cut the sausage, the edges may be darker than the center. However, this does not affect the quality. Your dog will love it!

Our goose meat is packaged in environmentally friendly artificial casings. Compared to conventional cans, this results in significantly less packaging waste. While cans made of metal or composite materials require complex recycling and often end up in residual waste, artificial casings produce only a minimum of waste. This protects the environment and saves valuable resources.

Sausages in artificial casings also have an advantage when it comes to shipping: they are robust, space-saving, and do not require complex protective packaging such as glass or cans. This means that the sausage can be shipped easily, safely, and with significantly less packaging material. That translates to less waste, less weight, and a smaller carbon footprint—for a sustainable and responsible diet for your dog!
