Our insect menu – a high-quality source of protein for a globally conscious future.
We are always looking to improve our balanced and globally conscious nutritional concept. A healthy and sustainable diet for tomorrow that also protects our planet's resources lies in the processing of insects.
Our new Insect Delight menu is a hypoallergenic complete food that is also ideal for sensitive dogs. Many dogs today suffer from so-called food intolerances. They react to common types of meat such as chicken, turkey, or beef, as well as grains, soy, and dairy products. However, the binders, fillers, and flavor enhancers that are often used (especially in dry food) can also cause problems. The symptoms of food intolerance are varied—for example, stomach problems or Gastrointestinal complaints, vomiting, nausea, gastritis, reddened skin, dermatitis, itching, anal itching, hair loss, digestive problems/diarrhoea, weight loss, ear problems and/or anal glands.
An exclusion diet limited to a previously unknown protein source can be carried out excellently with our Insect Luck. But please always remember that nothing else – not even a single treat – should be added to the diet that contains animal protein. We have deliberately avoided using potatoes and parsnips, as some dogs have been found to be very sensitive to these ingredients. In addition , our Insect Luck is grain-free and low in carbohydrates, which is important if, for example, an infection with Giardia has been detected. A low-carbohydrate diet is essential to support treatment.
Why be environmentally conscious?
There are approximately 9.4 million dogs living in Germany, and because our pets also leave a carbon paw print, we can make a significant contribution to protecting the environment by specifically reducing our meat consumption. At napani, we believe that less meat on our plates and in our pets' bowls is a responsibility that affects us all. Three of our employees are vegan, so it has always been difficult for us to come to terms with the fact that other animals have to die for our beloved pets. A dog can be fed very well without meat (taking into account its nutritional requirements) – but not all dogs like it. Feeding your dog insect-based protein can bridge the gap between a meat-based and plant-based diet.

What's in it – the benefits of the ingredients:
- Insects (black soldier fly larvae): high-quality , little-known protein. Good for your dog and good for the environment.
- Broth: the water in which all ingredients were cooked. This is required for every cooking process (for every can) but is not declared by many manufacturers.
- Organic broccoli: provides many important vitamins such as vitamin C, B vitamins, vitamin K, and folic acid. It also contains potassium and the plant estrogen kaempferol, which is said to have antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, heart and nerve protective, pain-relieving, and anxiety-reducing effects.
- Organic apricots: contain carotene, which can be converted into vitamin A—important for the skin and eyes, among other things. Apricots also contain vitamins B1, B2, vitamin C, calcium, and phosphorus. These substances are important for carbohydrate metabolism, energy metabolism, the immune system, and teeth and bones, for example.
- Organic coconut flakes: contain a large amount of lauric acid. This has a particularly positive effect on the immune system and is also said to have antibacterial and antiviral properties.
- Organic dandelion herb: according to naturopathy, dandelion supports liver, gallbladder, and kidney function.
- Organic psyllium husks: these are full of fiber (food for beneficial intestinal bacteria) and contain mucilage, which can bind large amounts of water. The mucilage stimulates digestion and combats constipation, while also having a binding effect and helping with diarrhea.
- Organic turmeric: contains various essential oils and the polyphenol curcumin. Curcumin not only has anti-inflammatory properties, but also a strong antioxidant effect.
- Minerals: for exact details, see composition.
