The goldenrod contained in the tincture, for example, supplies the urinary tract with flavonoids and phenolic glycosides, thereby promoting increased urine excretion.this helps flush out the urinary tract (i.e., the ureters, bladder, and urethra).

The kidneys are important excretory organs. Simply put, the kidneys filter substances from the blood that are superfluous or do not belong there. These are then excreted in the urine. The kidneys help to keep the pH value in the body within narrow limits and regulate the salt-water balance. They also produce hormones that are involved in blood formation and blood pressure regulation. The urine produced in the kidneys passes through the ureters into the bladder, where it is collected. The urethra leads out of the bladder. Germs can easily enter the bladder through the urethra and cause a bladder infection.

A healthy, high-quality diet, careful use of medication (many of which attack the kidney tissue) and avoiding chemical flea and tick repellents can help prevent chronic kidney disease.

Cranberries create an acidic environment on the surface of the bladder lining, making it difficult for pathogens to adhere to it. This also makes it easier for the bacteria to be excreted in the urine.
