Elm bark tincture for dogs & cats
Our elm bark tincture does not need to be mixed before use and can be administered immediately if necessary. It can be used to maintain the natural function of the gastrointestinal tract in dogs and cats, as well as to calm and harmonize the mucous membranes. The slimy consistency of elm bark can have a supportive effect in cases of digestive upset. Our tincture can also be used for diarrhea in dogs or stomach problems such as nausea and/or heartburn.
The elm bark tincture is obtained from the bark of the American red elm (Slippery Elm Bark). A decisive advantage over the commonly available elm bark powder is its quick and easy application. No mixing is necessary. Just shake the bottle briefly and then administer directly into your pet's mouth. This also simplifies administration for cats, where mixing powder into a paste can often be an adventure.
In our tincture, the bark is extracted (infused) in purified water and vegetable glycerin, which preserves the natural and valuable components of the bark and allows it to take effect quickly.
The slimy consistency is desirable and allows it to form a protective film over the mucous membrane.

Vor Gebrauch gut schütteln; bei Bedarf ca. 30 Minuten vor einer Mahlzeit direkt in das Maul verabreichen; die Einnahme der Ulmenrindentinktur kann die Aufnahme von Medikamenten erschweren bzw. verhindern, deshalb ist auch hier ein Zeitabstand von mind. 30 min zu beachten. Auch die Einnahme vor der Nachtruhe kann hilfreich sein, da sich hier die Wirkung über einen längeren Zeitraum entfalten kann. Anstatt mit der Pipette kann die Dosierung auch mit Hilfe einer Einwegspritze erfolgen.
